Special teams were fantastic, as was Higgins. Rocco wasn't his best but hung in there as usual. Secondary was okay, little sloppy but it didn't matter against this team. Sanders did a good job late of making cuts and finding yards.
The defense didn't even have to play well
Their online is about as good as ours as they created little in the way of holes. We didn't get pressure but their qb was a substandard passer. Our LBs were sloppy (again) but because there weren't a lot of holes those were only 2-4 yard gains.
Point is I don't think we played that well yet trounced a team on the road. The only conclusion I have for that is they aren't very good.
Zeewis! Z for Ztupid.JFC.
Like clockwork.
Agree. And especially in the middle of 2 road games.Winning the game before a bye week is so nice.
Not a perfect game by the Cyclones by any means, but we were very solid in all aspects.Dude. Their QB couldn't throw, even when they had open receivers. We didn't get a lot of pressure. Really their only offensive play was the QB option read or scrambles. But once we started to spy hin a lot harder lot of those plays dried up.
The online wasn't much better than they have been. Rocco didn't play his best but he balled when he needed to (rollout throw to Higgins was one of the best offensive plays we've made all year). The LBs struggled, and we committed some penalties in the secondary. Really Higgins, who was a ******* monster, was the only thing we did exceptionally outside of special teams (which were fantastic). Yet this game wasn't even close.
Minus some massive improvement I could easily see Cinci going winless the rest of the way. They are bad. REALLY bad.

Haven’t heard this. I feel like we’re always so sick it causes a loss every season
It was the same reason for the La Tech loss, too. Calm down.
Rocco missed a layup TD
Why do we have to complain? We won by 20 points. And some others on here say it was boring. What is your expectation. One drive went over 70 yards in 2 plays. A couple of sacks. An interception. A running game that gave us more than 100 yards. Total yards well over 300. Special teams were pretty good too. Not sure what people on here expect, but given what the team showed at the start of the season, I am finding their game-to-game improvement pretty darn interesting. No, this was not the best competition, so I don't want to read too much into the W. But right now, I find this team compelling, and I have no idea where this team will end up at the end of the season, but this is clearly Campbell's kind of team. Go Clones. Not a perfect game by the Cyclones by any means, but we were very solid in all aspects.
My biggest complaint would be the 3 FG's. Would have been nice to get a TD on a couple of those drives. The Rocco to Brahmer route was wide open. I'm sure Brahmer would say he should have caught that AND Rocco would say he could have made a better throw. On another drive, wasn't a big fan of the 2nd down run after a short 1st down run.
Defense wasn't really stressed. But biggest weakness continues to be getting consistent QB pressure. We were much better in the 2nd half, but it would be nice to finish more of those 4 man rushes/blitzes.
The only “good” Big 12 teams are Texas and Oklahoma. The rest are all about the same. Very balanced when compared to each other, but who knows how good they actually are.

I don't care if ISU were playing West Delaware every weekend.
Complaining about winning big on the road is so weird.
Did you read my first sentence? As I said, our effort was "very solid".Why do we have to complain? We won by 20 points. And some others on here say it was boring. What is your expectation. But if ISU is going to get 7 wins, we will need to continue to get better. For me, that is finishing drives with TD's and getting more QB sacks/pressures.
@Jeremy, with the chili, of course. No?Isn't it basically added spaghetti noodles, onions and cheese on top?
