How does she not have health insurance?
I mean, people gripe about the marketplace, but it does exist. Or was she so wealthy she just self insured?

Regardless of any of that, i do hope she recovers. Hard to fathom someone you think of as so fit and athletic succumbing to pneumonia. Always seemed like a good person, americas sweetheart for a while when i was a kid. Hell she is only a couple years older than me.

She’s a total whack job. She does not have health insurance because she chooses not to have health insurance.

I'm thinking it was by choice. I'm self employed and the health insurance is a huge expense but if I have a catastrophic medical problem that is worse. I pay the premiums and hope I don't need them. She chose not to and now has raised damn near half a million dollars, guess it pays to be popular

I wish the state would pay the lady that donated her kidney(?) To the guy if WI. The state has left her with about $14,000 of unreimbursed expense and she doesn't live in a mansion. I guess there was a program that used to reimburse people but the dept of health has shut it down without notifying people left like 14 families on the hook.

I hope she recovers.

She lost me with her opposition to the Safe Sport Act in the wake of the Nassar revelations.
