Asking again: Has the rot started to set in?

Has the rot started to creep in?

Shoutout to everyone who didn’t jump off the ship and didn’t want to blow everything up. We have a young team, and losing 5 experienced starters doesn’t make this any easier.

Really don’t understand the people who think we’d be in a better situation right now if we fired CMC and went with some random MAC coach that the B10 teams didn’t want. Maybe cheer for Ohio State next year or something idk

I’ll also add that ISU is 20-5 in its last 25 B12 home games, per the espn postgame article. Can any of you whiners show me another time in this program’s history where that’s been done before?
Tv broadcast said that over the past six years, we were one win behind TCU for the third most big12 wins. So, I think that means we are now tied with them. I'd say that's pretty darned good too.

Weren’t 4 of the 5 home losses last year? That is the recent and more relevant trend that had (has) people concerned.

Also— our programs putrid long term history is irrelevant.

And for the record—- I don’t want Campbell gone, but it’s been ok to discuss it given some trends.

I don’t understand how folks can sit here with a straight face and say our bad history is irrelevant. Do you seriously think history doesn’t matter? I think if we’re one of the worst P5 programs historically, I’m expecting a few bumps in the road along the way

Shootout to everyone who’s not making their minds up on this based on every game week to week.

Kinda like how you made this thread after a bad game……? Seems like you made up your mind based off a game week to week lmao

I think it was based off of the 7-6 record in 2021 with what was returning (imo a very overplayed narrative considering that team basically just flipped a bunch of close games from the Covid year and weren't that good on defense) and last year's 4-8.

If ISU gets to 6-7 wins this season I don't know how anyone can call it rot.

It's all a big troll. Haven't you figured that out by now? O sure, there may be some factual basis, but the "Sith Lord" is just trolling the **** out of you. Abandon the thread and let him talk to himself in his Star Wars underwear.

What concerns me is all those who voted with the dumb ass that Campbell needs to be replaced. The immediate reaction of Cyclones should be that we trust
Campbell. We will get things figured out. Listening to the announcers yesterday it is pretty apparent that they are all impressed with our 3 time Big XII Coach of the year.

The Big12 sucks this year.

Big time.

Only 2 ranked teams.

And that is in a year where college football is down across the board.

All Campbell really needs to do this season is ensure we remain competitive in games, and grab another win or two. I was in a bad head space after Ohio, but he has proven since then that he is capable of adapting and changing when necessary. He will hopefully make decisions like that a bit quicker in the future, but being able to get wins within the conference has alleviated most of my concern for now

I think we’re going to like playing in the new Big 12. With the talent that Campbell and staff are able to get the Clones will be evenly matched in every conference game for the first time ever. And Iowa gets to at least 2-3 high level opponents in their annual cakewalks so we could see the tide turn a bit. I’m really excited about the rest of this season and beyond based on the number of freshman and sophomores contributing right now.
