Iowa Speedway is getting a NASCAR Cup race in 2024

If y'all have any 'dumb questions' or want advice on what to do / where to go or a racing question, DM me on here or twitter any time. Happy to help.

That's cool for NASCAR people, but I tried watching NASCAR once and it seemed like the race was 9 hours long and nothing happened.

Will they sell pit passes?

what kind of attire should one wear to a race?

will it be loud?

do they only drive in circles?

do they have a half time so I can run out to my tailgate to drink a beer?

Awesome, Rusty's dream looks to come true. 6/16? Lot of racing in two weeks. Eldora for the Dream 6/6 - 6/8 then maybe here the 16th. Hope my body can take it. LOL.

Damn...Fathers day weekend... I'm fishing in Canada.

Thought this could be my first in person NASCAR race. Bummer.

Happy for Iowa though!

Was at the inaugural race at Texas. Guy had a pile of recently cut wood for a recreational fire. Brand new truck parked next to it. Idiot threw like a five gallon can of gas on it and lit it. It was so hot it literally melted the paint on his truck. What an idiot!!

Hate hearing stuff like this, but I will always tell people to give it a chance, and more importantly if there's any questions that you might have that could make things easier to understand or advice needed on traveling, reach out to me on Twitter.

It's a tough sport to understand and I love helping folks get into it. Goes for anyone reading this and no question is too stupid.

I will tell you I know a lot of non-racing fans that went to IndyCar the last two years for the concerts and they told me only positive things. Give it a shot and at the least you'll attend one big party.

I'm sure there's more nuance to it, it's just not for me, F1 is my jam as far as racing goes. I'm happy for the people that like it though, be cool to have a race so close to home.

If you’re seriously interested send me a DM. You’ll have to go through a race team or major sponsor to get one. It can cost anywhere from $400-$1000+. I have a couple of connections with teams. Probably won’t know much about them though until they get the details worked out due to a condensed infield.
