First time posting in this thread....there is some really funny stuff here......

Ms diaclone and I were out for a bicycle ride yesterday morning (on a tandem)....we're cruising along on the bike path great until a bee flies into and hits hits my temple on the left side. The critter stings me and I yell a few choice words. Ms dialclone asks what happened and I said I got stung....she sees the insect on the ground and stomps the living **** out of it.

At least today we made up the for some of the miles mssed yesterday.

Today, I was knocking doors for a local school board candidate. Knocked on the door of a past superintendent. We sat outside and chatted for a good 15 minutes or so. Interesting and smart fellow.

I spent part of today distributing signs for a couple of school board candidates here. Going to be a highly contested one.

I don't know how how contested ours will be as a couple of the crazy ones have to be write ins......the ex superintendent said it's hard to win via write-in when it is an off year election.

Linn-Mar… they brought some crap on themselves and there are numerous challengers from far right groups and I will leave it at that so we don’t end up in the cave.

The hospital/doctor bills I get make absolutely no sense.
I had one last week that had on it in big letters You owe $1,780
I was at the hospital so I stopped by their accounts payable and they go over it and tell me I owe $195. They said there were amounts on that bill that I had paid in August.

I got a $111 bill that is already paid. I'm going to give them a wk to see if they figure it out.

Went to JV game. Apparently the home team forgot to put it on the calendar. So 75 minute drive to just say we were there tonight.

One guy I work with had a JV game change locations and time without notifying them until 20 minutes before the previously scheduled time

Went out for ride Sunday. Got in 30 miles in spite of it being stupid windy with gusts to 35 mph. Still, wasn't completely awful except for when it was blowing unrestricted across lake Bde Maka Ska....that wasn't so much fun. My "I Spy" game of noting what I see on rides was sort of mid-level. No corgi dogs, one British Triumph Spitfire convertible, one vintage Mercedes SL convertible, one topless gal at Cedar Lake, several guys older than me biking with no shirt and a whole slew of elderly riders (again, even older than me).

Did get passed by a tandem last month. Didn't feel too bad as it was a very fit looking young couple and this was like a racing tandem.

The wind was also brutal here the past weekend. Rode on Fri, Sat, and Sun and each day was windy. Not as many cyclists out. The highlight is that we didn't get held up by a train, which does happen somewhat often. The tandem we ride is more of a touring tandem, but it is fairly fast ( for us anyway). Sometimes we can keep up with the e-bikes. Once hit 44mph going down hill.....fun but a bit scary too.

Keep on bikin'........

My niece is thinking of backing out of FB Sat. If a RTTer needs a mobile pass hit me up.
