Never understood the egg part. Ive always had it without the egg wash, just used milk. Pretty good, but a good waffle still beats it imo

Yes, waffles just have oil added if you’re using the mix.

But it’s the way they’re cooked. Waffles have a hard crust that is better. And they hold your toppings better in the little squares.

Yep. And basically the only difference between pancakes and crepes is baking powder in the pancakes to make them rise.
