My focus is shifting to basketball thanks to the football team. Where do you see this team on selection Sunday? I think our guards will carry us early on, I am really excited about Keshon Gilbert and Curtis Jones along with Lipsey hopefully developing more offensively.

Towards the end of the year I think guys like Omaha and Milan will be a huge part of our success.

It's going to be interesting to see how well the team gels early. We have some sharp shooters but I think people are expecting a bit too much offense from Omaha. Milan will surprise a bunch of people though if he shows out like he as this summer.

I think we’ll be pretty good and be around .500 in conference and will have higher hopes for the Tourney than our season record and seed will indicate.

4-6 seed. T.J. finally has a loaded roster and he always out performs expectations. Basketball season is going to be exciting.

The expectation should be make the tournament. A 4-6 seed would be fantastic. We have reloaded on talent but will still be dependent on a lot of young/new contributors outside of Tamin and Tre K.

If we get good guard play and have a legit rim protector we are going to be pretty tough. No worse than 7-10

I feel like we'll be about even to last year but with a way higher upside. Need to see the schedule for deeper predictions but I'm super optimistic on a lot of dudes.

I'll bet the farm on Tre and Ward being awesome this year, especially Tre

I'll go 5th in the Big 12, 6 seed again. Behind Kansas, Houston, Kansas State, and Baylor. Texas has some good starters but I don't like their bench and TCU will probably just be what they always are under Dixon. Solid middle of the pack team in the best conference in America

I think Lipsey, Gilbert, and King will be the clear leaders and most consistent guys with big games from Jones, Milan, and Pav here and there. A ton more options on offense if one or two players are cold, unlike after Grill went out last year and we were 100% dependent on Gabe and Holmes both being on.

Omaha will play more than he did in the Bahamas and be a solid rebounder and defender with complimentary scoring.

5-8 seed with a nice run in the tourney and the entire guard court back for 2024-25 for a better run.

Lipsey and King are probably the two I’m most excited about, not including the freshmen.

Couldn’t believe Lipsey was a freshman last year with how comfortable he was running the point

To clarify, is this a rough start in conference or overall.

Because the teams we got in the noncon outside of the Orlando Event are pretty yikes
Sorry, meant conference. The non-con schedule this year doesn't do much for me.
Just such an adjustment to the B12 physicality.

When's the schedule come out?
We still don't know sequence of Big 12 schedule (that has to be coming soon, I would think). What we do know...

Nov. 6 Green Bay
Nov. 9 Lindenwood
Nov. 12 Idaho State
Nov. 19 Grambling
Nov. 23 vs. VCU (ESPN Events Invitational)
Nov. 24 vs. Virginia Tech/Boise State (ESPN Events Invitational)
Nov. 26 vs. Texas A&M/Penn State/FAU/Butler (ESPN Events Invitational)
Dec. 1 at DePaul (Big East-Big 12 Battle)
Dec. 7 Iowa
Dec. 10 Prairie View A&M
Dec. 17 Florida A&M
Dec. 21 Eastern Illinois
Dec. 31 New Hampshire

Conference schedule

Houston

Kansas State

Oklahoma

TCU

Kansas
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
West Virginia

I'd say 5-7 seed. slower start than the last couple years and rising towards the end of the year rather than trying to just survive conference season

That's a pretty weak non con...how did they decide who we play once or twice in conference....looks pretty random
