I have never liked it and always tried to get pseudoephedrine, which actually works.

I knew it never worked. As did everyone I know who's ever taken it. And when you go to the counter to get the "good stuff" they treat you like Walter White.

Exactly. I feel like I am presumed a meth maker every time I need allergy medicine. I feel like I need to have my nose running, have a squeezing fit and my eyes watering so they don't suspect anything.

I don't know where you guys go to get your meds, are the pharmacists behind bulletproof glass? I just have to show them my ID to get Sudafed.

Very interesting though, it did always feel like the other stuff just never did anything, thought I had just built up a tolerance or something.

This has been known for some time I think. Basically the placebo effect is all you got. But they push it now, because it's harmless (more or less) and the chemical name sounds like its the same thing.

IDK how they get by marketing it without running afoul of false advertising law.

I don't take anything but plain old pain killers for a cold. This stuff doesn't work and for some reason pseudophedrine makes me feel like I've drank 12 cups of coffee.

The Claritin D makes me feel hella sleepy but oddly awake at the same time.

Really ***** me up and not in a good way.

Claritin D 24 hr is my go to for every allergy fit, head cold, sickness whatever. Finally got my PCP to write me a prescription for it so I don't get dirty looks when I go to the pharmacy every 10 days in the fall.

All cold medicines that are effective seem to do similar things to me. I can't take NyQuil either. Last time I did I was up all night.

Do people even make meth like they used to back in the Iowa clandestine lab hey-days?

Exactly. Give me the meth ingredient any day.

I always say “give me the biggest box for my next batch” just to screw with them.

Love that. Side note, last winter I was waiting in line for the good stuff and was up an aisle slightly. Same aisle as the Trojans, lube, etc in their plastic cases so they don’t get lifted. Anyway, I’m standing there on my phone not paying any attention (probably on this site) and a middle aged guy probably 10 yrs older than me says “excuse me there sir” as he looking at the sex items. I move out of the way and he grabs a $37 cockring thing with a vibrator in it. He saw the just plain astounded look on my face and I just said “didn’t know they had those here (cvs)”. He winked at me and said “now you do bud”.

I still don’t know how I feel about that 10 seconds of my life.
