*** Official Iowa vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Meanwhile, Fox keeps promoting the Hawks.

Can you blame them. what have we done?

It doesn't matter if it's Brock Purdy in his 4th year or a Redshirt Freshman at QB...an experienced team or a young team...if you're playing, you can NOT make mistakes like blocked fgs, pick 6s, dropping passes, or give up big plays... and expect to beat a team like Iowa who makes very few mistakes....simple as that.
Rocco and the rest of the team will grow from this...

It is pure Coaching on the offense, promoting Nate was a terrible idea. Ya lets get the guy who learnt under the worst OC Tom manning and make him OC. It was just so that Campbell can say he made a change.
Nate isn't a mircale-worker. When you have a poor line, below average receivers, and an inexperienced QB your hands are kind of tied.

It’s clear already that Manning wasn’t the problem on offense. Campbell ball is the problem. It’s his offense and Nate is just put in the position to run it and unless you have an NFL starting running back and NFL starting QB, it won’t work.

What is there to lose at this point? I hope the offense starts throwing it deep like Purdue did a few years ago. I hate trying to out Iowa Iowa. It just leads to maddening turnovers and special teams mistakes.

This is the problem....all this conservatism, all this underneath crap....it doesn't stop mistakes....you still get pick 6s, blocked field goals....etc.

You gotta play to win a little too, the lack of any creativity or wrinkle is so disappointing

Seriously getting beat deep on the play action to the TE down the middle against Iowa should be grounds for termination.

It's been their m.o. for like 4 decades so it must be harder to prep for.

That 50ish yard run off tackle was yuge.
