Just my opinion, but Manning rarely had a QB that could make the throws necessary to beat that defense. Or the WRs to help do it. The only QB that had the combination of arm strength and accuracy to do it was Park. And he lit up that defense. Yes, I know that Purdy is included in the list of guys that couldn’t make that throw.
Yeah, I guess I don’t get why some are thinking they are at or above our level. I mean, Dejean is good. Schulte is the typical Iowa walk on safety. They’re missing a starter at CB and the biggest thing nwampka has accomplished so far is his star rating in HS.

I must be doing something wrong because I love ESPN+. I've subscribed since it first launched and have never had a single issue on any of my devices (Apple TVs, Roku, iPad, iPhone) and I use it every day there are football or basketball games on, usually on multiple devices at the same time.

Why are you saying FCS team as a slur? Lol Iowa’s offense put up 166 total yards and had 1.6 ypc last year against SDSU, an FCS team. Iowa won 7-3 with two safeties.

Yeah, that I could understand. Personally, I would probably still subscribe just because there are times when a decent game is on there while a subpar game is on anything else - though that's rare.

If you're a college basketball fan you pretty much have to have it. Plus the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu bundle for like $16/month is a pretty good deal. If you're gambling, you can watch pretty much every low major game on there. IDK how many VMI and Citadel games i've watched on there.
All very true - that said, the FCS as a whole got completely demolished opening weekend so I do KINDA get the point that offensively, I'm not expecting much this season from us. and will hope to be pleasantly surprised but I expect to look a lot like Iowa when it comes to winning games. Which is 100% fine because at the end of the day the goal is to win games but I expect this season to go bowling games will look a lot like Kansas last year and just hope Contreras can keep hitting FG's. I hope I'm wrong but we're relying on a freshman or redshirt freshman QB, incredibly young RB's and a OL that has underwhelmed at times.

I did not know that Utah State lost 10 defensive starters to the transfer portal. So they had a completely new D out there (pending one guy who may or may not have still been there and didn't graduate).
