I guess it’s better to see them when you’re up 21 points in the 4th instead of every 1st down (and 90% of 3rd and short situations) in the game

We have a top 10 defense.
We need a top 50-60 offense.


Good news, for a 5-10 minute period we were one. So the potential is there, that's the good part. The good news.

The rest of the game? We were a - less than middle of the road offense


Happy with the Win.
Happy with special teams and the defense.
Not super impressed with the OL or offense.

But its gonna be hard beating Iowa and Big 12 teams playing this conservative. Saw it last year. Yes, special teams looks much much much better. BUT, do we really want to be in a position where it all comes down to the kicker?

I love watching our defense.

I just wish I could say I loved watching our offense but that's been a few years ago.

Long term, not in the best interest of the team. Why beat up on a team you were expected to beat? Right now, the hawks have no idea what they will be playing next week - and that makes more sense to me than running up a score on a weaker opponent.

If we lost an important starter right now while up 21 with 2 mins left..... that would be beyond stupid.

Could lose an important starter at any time.

Really solid outing today. Never in doubt. Defense was outstanding. Special teams were special for once absent the botched hold on the PAT. Offense wasn't great, but Rocco is the clear #1 and they probably would have looked better with him on the field throughout (plus Campbell had no interest in doing anything more than necessary once we went up 30-0). Great win Cyclones
