Williams & Blum Wednesday: UNI Deep Dive

Interesting Pod. Talking Pollard replacement from small programs. Nail biting about a win. Hard to understand after 2020 season. Will we EVER get over the hump?

What's the hump for ISU football?

The context of the 2020 season makes it pretty easy to understand.

Fun for the times and ISU played some good ball but it was hardly anything to hang the hat on.

Unrelated to this specific podcast but dear god I hope they don't bring Yakkity Sax back.... I skip it every week, are they implying the big 12 is a joke or something? Mainly I can't stand that song when I'm listening to the podcast at 6am Monday morning lol
I am fine if they bring it back just as an intro to the segment, but I have no idea why they think it’s a good idea to play it the entire time.

Ehhh….very few programs don’t have to rebuild. ***** about last year if you must, but you have to be honest about the 5 years before it.
If I’m being honest the last year of purdy, hall, kolar, Allen, rose etc. did not meet expectations. Last year was slightly under expectations too. Campbell is either 4-3 or 5-2 against expectations depending on how you view year one. A great start but down the last two years. We really need a bowl game this year.

On the pod was it mentioned there is a RV parking Facebook group. I looked for it with no luck. Anyone know more? I have been in the RV lot since they opened and agree it is a great addition.

Why on earth does ISU go to play at all these lower level teams? AT Ark State? Are you kidding? At Bowling Green? I don't see anyone else in the Big 12 doing this stuff.

Did you look?

Since 2014 (Big 12 road games at G5 teams)
Baylor: at Buffalo, at SMU, at Rice (2x), at UTSA, at Texas State
Iowa State: at Toledo, at Akron, at UNLV, at Ohio
Kansas: at Memphis, at Ohio, at Central Michigan, at Houston, at Coastal Carolina, at Nevada
Kansas State: at UTSA
Oklahoma: at Tulsa (2x), at Army (COVID), at Tulane (moved to Norman due to hurricane)
Oklahoma State: at Central Michigan, at South Alabama, at Tulsa, at Boise State
TCU: at SMU (rivalry)
Texas Tech: at Houston, at UTEP, at Wyoming

Super excited for this year. I think we have a bunch of scrappy leaders with some talented young players. 6-6 would be a fine season for this team. I’m guessing we’ll be our best in Oct or Nov. Just beat UNI

It's a free 30 to 60 minute pod with 30 seconds of music and people ***** about the music, once again proving there is nothing too insignificant for this group to ***** about.
It's fine for a bit but to play it for the entire segment is a bit much. In my opinion.
I apologize, I shan't give my opinion on such things in the future!

Don’t be bringing facts to this bitchfest.

You realize you can skip ahead right? No matter where you listen/watch.

I’ve done it since the first episode they played it. Do you listen to the commercials too? This isn’t hard

Edit: quoted the wrong post. Yakety sax is great. Sorry @cardinalandadarkgold. I was talking about the guy ******** about English

Yakkity sax is played throughout the Big 12 game spreads segment, so yes I do skip that part. I like the segment and would like to listen, the song just gets on my nerves is all.
And with that I'm done complaining.
