Iowa Beat Writers

Gotta love WHO13 this morning...they run a 3 minute piece on all things Swarm including interviews with Exile and others ect...then they cut back to the desk and we hear "ISU also has a collective, WeWill" and next topic
"Hey, we talked about Iowa State as well so we are balanced in our reporting for both schools."

They are not supposed to be impartial. They are supposed to cover local news. I agree it's a huge stretch to make a Hawkeye congratulating Taurasi on the record a local story, but it's standard practice in journalism to find the local angle on a national story. It's lame, but it's not journalistic malpractice. We need everyone in society to take media literacy and journalism courses. The amount of misunderstanding is frustrating. Everyone thinks they're a professional journalist.

Anyways, yeah, it was a lame headline that should've been a pass from the editors. But it was a social media post, not an actual story.
Huge stretch is being polite.

For the Friday night they are at JTS for RVTV they should get booed and heckled. We all know their love drooling for Clark and that chinless wonder Sears is a UI grad.
Nah. I get where you are coming from, but I hope nobody does that. Need to show a some class.

Besides, that will fit into their narrative that Iowa State fans are always butthurt about the coverage ISU receives (or doesn't receive)

None of those are positives.

If McNamara is not even going to fully practice until game week 1, he's likely going to play around 75% healthy at best. That's pretty telling they'd rather go this route than have their backups play.

Agreed. KF made it sound like it was minor but clearly there are some concerns.

This does nothing but increase the likelihood that he will play out of his ass against us and complete all kinds of throws.
