90's Hip Hop

Not much love for Kendrick in here. On the MAAD City album the two song pairing of Good Kid into MAAD City is one of my favorite parts of any rap album ever.

I love Kendrick. I had TPAB listed in probably my top five rap Al in’s of all time. He is a genius.

Andersen is one of my favorite artists... but IMO it's borderline hip hop. I'm not a big fan of hip hop, but absolutely love Andersen.

I love Andersen and Leon Bridges (who was also mentioned), but would put both more in the R&B/soul category.

Liquid swords is probably top 3 for me for wu tang and enter the 36 chambers is in it too. If I'm drinking 8-10 beers on the lawn I'm putting on return to the 36 chambers.
Im catching GZA in Iowa City at the end of the month. Pretty stoked to see him in a slightly better venue than the last time I saw him.

Curious what people would call this song for genre?

Also, Mo's Def was really cool and Black Star. Can't remember what Mo's Def goes by now?
