Now that realignment is mostly resolved, it's time to get back to what really matters in the off season.

If I presented you with the following two shapes, and told you that one of them was named "Bouba" and the other one was "Kiki" which name would you assume each shape belonged with?

Science tells us that the vast, vast majority of people associate the first shape with "Kiki" and the second with "Bouba".

The effect crosses cultural, gender, age, etc lines. Kind of fascinating

Bouba feels and sounds like a fun round word so it's clearly the right

Kiki sounds and feels incredibly sharp, obvs the left

I agree. But ask yourself why you feel that way? What makes one word sound sharp and another round?

Kiki would be the angular one on the left. I think it has to do with the jagged lines most resembling a K, with the other one's rounded lines more resembling a B.

I would have been one of them.

Kiki sounds very direct, unique - hence shape with sharpe edges.

Bouba sounds like bubbles, calming sound- hence circular object.
