I get a real kick out of Tech's projections in football too. Basically they had a great recruiting class so they are 3rd/4th/5th (out of 14!!!) on every prognostication. I feel like ISU basketball could have the absolute #1 ranked recruiting class and even our own fans would think we should have low expectations.

Torvik uses a "steady-state" model for defense. Historically Tech has had a good defense.

Their defense is projected at #19 next year. Iowa State is projected at #18 -- so similar.

As for their offense...

It thinks Pop Isaacs and our old friend Joe Toussaint are going to ball the **** out.

Toussaint really was a big pickup for them. And a big blow to WVU to lose him.

I'm not sure we will win many, if any Big 12 games this season. We will be young, young I tell you.

Next year we should be better. Oh, but Omaha might not be here, so another rebuilding year then too, now that I think about it.

I think '25-26 should be our year! ;)

Edit: 7-15-23, I was kidding...........................................!

I'll bet against you on the zero. Your talking Prohm numbers there. Tj put a throw together team into the tourney.

I have no reason to see why the tourney is a unreasonable goal.

Now that the Big 12 is at 14 teams for this season, we have unbalanced scheduling, and ISU got the shaft for this year's football schedule as the teams we DON'T play are projected to finish in the bottom half of the standings.

Have the conference schedules for this year's basketball season been released yet? If so, did we get shafted there as well?

Anyone know what this Bahamas Summer Tour is? Just exhibition games or something? I've seen nothing about it besides this tweet. Not open to the public.

They've been talking about it since last year. It's one of those foreign tour things that college teams can take once every four years. The women's team went to Italy, I think it was a couple of years ago and the men have been on tours too. The volleyball team just got back from one earlier this year. I forget where they went.
