Unfortunately yes and it’s the rare multi threaded type so there are 4 simultaneous, constant dialogues 24/7. Exhausting as ****. Especially when 1 is all severe anxiety, 1 is severe OCD, etc.

My wife says her mind can be silent and I have no idea what that must feel like, but it sounds nice.

Need to get into meditation. That is the best thing I've found to learn how to quiet the mind when you want to.

I always have song playing in my head and starting to wonder if it's a problem. I never have silence in my head. Don't know if its anxiety or what but its almost never ending.

Internal monologue, yes, but dialogue? Nah. I’m not a schizo :D

“My god Vanessa has a fabulous body. I bet she shags like a minx. How do I tell her that due to the unfreezing process, I have no internal monologue? I hope I didn’t say that out loud just now”

I actually have found that having music on is the best way to concentrate and avoid that inner voice from taking over. Found this out in college when trying to study. ADD went wild when I was in a quiet room. The inner dialog started going through all the conversations I’ve had recently and started hypothetical conversations I may have in the future. As soon as I put background music on, all that went away and was able to focus on studying. Same goes for sleep. Can’t fall asleep without something playing or my mind will keep me awake all night with the issues of the day.

See it causes me issues falling asleep. I get in a loop thinking about the song then wondering whats wrong with me. It's a vicious circle some nights. Like right now I have the the refrain from electric avenue song in my head and I have no clue why.

I'm constantly having a dialogue with myself and I'm shocked to learn this is something not every does/has...?

Used to have monologues in college when I'd go to the bar and get **** faced, then go to the bathroom and take a leak and stare at myself in the mirror and go "you're not drunk, you're doing great" then slap my face, leave the bathroom, and get back to it.

My wife is the exact same way. I'm always jealous of that. But then again if that happened to me for even a few minutes I think I would be freak out a bit.
