Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

The problem with this poll, is that, who are the people that follow a sports reporter on twitter? Fanatical Sports Fans, that would pay to watch their favorite sports team.
And it wouldn’t shock me if he somehow used the results of this “poll” to make generalizations across the entire population, like maybe saying fans are feeling “positive” for this new streaming option and the fans are all “excited and aligned” that streaming exclusively is the best option

Yeah. I assume he's only doing the poll for content clicks. It really doesn't matter. But he was leaning into the poll showing that people, at least the one following him, would vote yes to streaming.

I thought it would be fun to see if we could push that number down enough he would acknowledge the poll was stupid.

It’s like when Iowa posts a poll Iowa wins. If Iowa state posts a poll it’s a lot closer, because all Iowa fans follow Iowa state just to say they don’t care about Iowa state.

Purdy v2.0 but with no experience. Ok arm but not great. Heady game manager. Can make plays with his feet if required. Respected and natural leader.
That’s pretty spot on, though personally I think he has a better deep pass ability, though will have less receiving talent to take advantage. TEs really helped Purdy with check downs and making something out of nothing. We need that group to step up big time this year.

I think that there is talent there, but most of it is unproven. In a way, that could be an advantage, as last year the target was too obvious (even though Hutchinson did an unbelievable job of being almost unstoppable).

But he's asking the wrong question. I hope most Cyclone fans would pay a subscription to watch ISU. After all that is the ESPN+ model.

The question he should have asked: If you are a fan of a non-Pac12 school, would you buy a subscription to watch Pac12 teams?

Awesome point but here we are and it’s still a 50:50 proposition among the die-hards according to the poll results

Agree. We just have got to see it take a big stride year over year and continue to develop as the season progresses. This is a big year for future recruiting classes and it all rides on the OL and the receivers showing big growth.

Today is the ultimate CF server stress test with the amount of major news hitting both inside and outside the cave. Fire up the auxiliary nuclear reactor.

Too bad this is all we've got:

I podcast Miller & Condon and Mundo was on today. He did not mince words on Canzano, saying he’s basically debased himself to make his readers feel good instead of doing any actual reporting (Ken agreed).

I think it’s great that all these sports media people figuring out what we’ve been saying on here for over a year and acting like they are making some profound statement.

Bottom line is if you can put aside your bias, look at tv viewership in a nuanced way and compare apples to apples, and use some logic on who monetizes what, and none of how this went down is surprising.

I really don’t give a **** about the people that are so called experts in sports media. They’ve been wrong since OUT every step of the way.

Mandel, Altimore, Canzano have all been clowns. A bunch of random CF posters are far better at understanding sports media than these morons.
