RIP Pee-wee Herman

Paul Reubens, aka Pee Wee Herman, died today at age 70.

I was in the right age group (now 41) but never really watched. I know he had his indecent exposure issue in the early 90s and child porn issue in early 2000's, but certainly had a big impact on a lot of 80s/90s youth. Always sad to see an icon of an era go.

Other than the child porn he was a good guy

Never got into Pee Wee Herman as a kid either, seemed creepy to me. But another childhood icon is gone. RIP.

Rest in Peace Pee Wee. My first contact was an HBO special in 81 with Fishburne and Phil Hartman. Excessive over the top adolescent nerd humor. I enjoyed the fact that he always screwed with Letterman. On at least one occasion tried to get Dave to feed him.

This is so sad. I'm starting to think about people I loved a child passing but then I realize that I'm not a kid anymore and that I'm soon to be 43 so those people are then at an age where this is more and more a reality.

Cowboy Curtis and Captain Carl were awesome! It was quite the thing to have a black cowboy with a jheri curl on a kids show in the 80s.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure was amazing. Pee Wee acting, Tim Burton directing and musical score by Danny Elfman. Triple dose of awesome. Big Top Pee Wee gets a bad rap but was still solid, I mean Penelope Ann Miller and Valeria Golino

Cowboy Curtis and Captain Carl were awesome! It was quite the thing to have a black cowboy with a jheri curl on a kids show in the 80s.

LMAO when Cowboy Curtis was embarrassed at the pajama party because he had no pajamas since he sleeps "in the nude". So hilarious yet inappropriate.
