Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Traveling to the west coast also makes for weird results. Most big ten teams don’t have great records playing away games out there. Once the playoff expands and losses become less important it won’t matter as much but it’s still a trap. To your point you could have a school like Iowa/wisky/sparty never actually play in the big ten championship game but get into the playoff every once in awhile.
Yeah in a “rich get richer “ scenario I can certainly see the hoks and sparty sneaking ahead of OSU, PSU, USC, and Michigan.

Love it. I’m having a super chill day. Lounging in a hammock, full bag of home made Chex mix, Nalgene full of lemonade, and 20mg deep. absolutely perfect weather in the mitten today.
Is the Nalgene suitable for mixing, say, some distilled potato water?

I have no doubt that it could do that! :)

And the question is, really, when does the Mitten need to become a mitten? I'd bet late August in some years?

Interesting..

So… this guy is sourced in to AZ and obviously this mean GK has until early next week to present an enticing enough media deal to keep them from moving on to the big 12. All GK has to do is make the powers that be add on 100 million annually and up the linear rate by 200%. Seems doable… NOT!

Kinda look at it like in 2021. Michigan and OSU would have been playing in the championship but sparty with a 10 win season (11 after the bowl) and win over Michigan would probably have gotten in with a 12 team playoff birth. I could routinely see Penn state not making the championship game but still getting some regular playoff love in a 12 team format

He can obviously go shopping, but it would be like me at a college bar trying to pick up women. He will be coming home alone just like I would.
Well, if he hangs $100 bills out of his pockets while walking around he might get some interest. Of course, the PAC is at welfare status level so they could maybe afford $10 bills but not hundys.

I don't recall this famous report, but **** USC anyway

A famous report said Southern Cal had no interest in being in a league with Iowa State. Of course, now USC is about to be in a league with Iowa, so what goes around comes around

Man, we really are the Rodney Dangerfield of college athletics.
That guy must not read SI. Because according to this, we are the 2nd most desirable in the new B12, (just barely behind OSU). Kansas is 2nd from last in all P5.

Again this is subjective, and really depends on whos looking, but ISU is much more desirable than some not so informed fans think.

Our numbers overall and fan support really help us.

Nah not till November or even December the last several years
Interesting. I remember when I was at school at the Mayo (Rochester, MN) it was quite nippy that first late Aug/early Sept.

And I didn't mean super cold, just noticeably cooler than Mid Iowa.

Those two deserve each other

IF Oregon comes to the Big 12 Oregon considers themselves better than any team currently in the Big 12, but in the last 10 years are 1-3 against teams currently in the Big 12, including the newbies. Beat Texas, Lost to TCU, Iowa State and Oklahoma.

Oregon will be a mini-Texa$ as they are undoubtably a top brand with deep pockets, but have limited success despite those resources. They will be projected toward the top every year (and probably should be) but will come up short most years.

Huh? I've lived here in Rochester for the past 8 years and go to almost all the home Iowa State football games...the climate is about 5 or 8 degrees different on average if I had to guess.
