Are there specific lyrics to songs where you heard them and thought, “Why?”

Like - in Fugees’ “Ready or Not,” Lauryn Hill says:

“So while you imitating Al Capone,
I'll be Nina Simone and defecating on your microphone.”

I get that it is to mean she and Nina are amazing lyrical talents… but if I were Nina or her family, my first reaction would be “the **** I did.” It is perhaps the most indelicate tribute ever. I am 1000% not all “women’s roles” at all - but it isn’t super ladylike to conjure up an image of squatting over a microphone on stage.

What are some “wtf, why?!” lyrics you have heard? Bonus points for links to the video.

Love Dylan and how he melodically twisted so many words around but there's plenty that don't make any sense.

'The sun's not yellow, it's chicken' is just one example.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG but have always wondered about the lyrics in it and notably an appearance from Busta Rhymes:

Watch; as I combine all the juice from the mind
Heel up, wheel up, bring it back, come, rewind
Powerful impact (boom!) from the cannon!
Not braggin', tryna read my mind, just imagine
Vo-cab-u-lary's necessary, when diggin' into my library
Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh!
Eatin' Ital Stew like the one Peter Tosh
Unh! Unh! Unh! All over the track, man
Unh, pardon me, unh! As I come back!

Was Peter Tosh a big fan of minestrone?

Busta Rhymes is a very intriguing musician.
I'd say 99.99999% isn't aware of this, that for some stupid reason I am:

I also am because I was a HUGE fan of Rugrats. Big Phil and Lil vibes here.

If Red Bull came back for a race we should totally build a Reptar vehicle.

Different show but I did go as Quailman for Halloween once.

Doug was also incredible!!

I've always known "Night Moves" by Bob Seger was about teenage "activities." But I hadn't really noticed some of the very deliberate lyrics until just a few weeks ago. I'm specifically referring to the opening verse:

"She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points of her own, sittin' way up high
Way up firm and high"

Worst lyric line(s) of the 21st Century. First time I heard this I had a WTF reaction and "This is your damn lyric?" As radio play continued for this POS song I developed a visceral hatred for James Arthur. Radio program directors across the USA should have been fired.

We danced the night away, we drank too much
I held your hair back when
You were throwing up

My daughter is a big Swiftie and so there's alot of Taylor Swift played in my house. This line has always bothered me:

"Sexy baby" is just a weird choice of words.
