Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Everyone keeps bringing up Rutgers/B1G as a reason for adding UConn to the Big XII. The thing is I don’t think there’s a bigger case of buyer’s remorse anywhere in realignment than the Big 10 has with Rutgers. All I ever hear up here in Michigan is how Rutgers doesn’t fit culturally or competitively, and how it didn’t add the NYC market the way everyone thought it would (stunner). All i ever hear about up here is if the Big 10 could undo one decision it would be Rutgers.

Didn’t seem to hurt them in this round of realignment/TV deals so why do they give a ****? Take your FB W, cash your checks, and wait 7 years until the next time you have to play them.

If the Pac 12 is in need of a new slogan, might I suggest it's the conference of "Fake It 'Til I Make It".

No way Im letting Kliavkoff handle anything after the **** ahow the Pac12 has been.

I was reading through some stuff last weekend and was caught off guard at how small G5 media deals/ budgets are. Any current G5 school can safely assume doubling their media income even with Kliavkoff making the deal.

You either trust the magician that is the big 12 commissioner or you dont. His entire life has been brokering media deals. If he believes Uconn brings the NYC market, do you really believe you know better?

If he believes basketball is undervalued, do you think he's wrong?

There is just no comparison between Rutgers, who sucks at every sport, and Uconn. WVU had beaten Rutgers 18 straight years when WVU left for the Big 12. once 80-0.

I really believe that WA is a declining asset. OR just feels right to me.

I really believe that WA is a declining asset. OR just feels right to me.

Even if declining long term, in the short term, they could bring better value (again, OR) with them and that's what matters. I could live with that.

Canzano is a clown and only pumps the sunshine propaganda the Pac wants him to. Only in Pac 12 la la land is SDSU a step up from Colorado.

I mean, Colorado isn’t known for their world-renown beaches. Yeah. There’s that.

Maryland is semi competitive in both revenue sports. Not great but also not Rutgers. For what it’s worth Michigan really wanted Rutgers as their third protected rival for the layup.

Let's argue the four corner schools end up in the Big 12.

Wonder if the remaining 6 take SDSU, Tulane, SMU, and god knows who else just to keep P5 status and a playoff spot?

Having one or the other, Wash/Oregon is a toss up for me.

Both are big brands. Weird to think we may get 1 and not the other. Not that they have to come together but whoever is left out is left out to dry unless your Oregon and you jsut tell yourself to wait it out until the next media rights when you MAY get picked up by Big 10.

I think it goes both ways with Maryland. Their fans would probably be happier in the ACC.

Oregon over Washington....but I don't see anyone getting one without the other so I'd be very surprised if it is one of them. After that there honestly isn't anyone from the Pac12 that would "surprise" me after the clown show that's taken place
