Which player on our roster do you think a vast majority are sleeping on?

Demarion Watson and Curtis Jones. I think both will be significantly better than many expect.
Agree with this. Watson has all defensive player capabilities and the ability to not be a negative on offense like Bob is. Won't ever be a 35% outside guy, but if he can get to a point where he helps spread the floor and gets 8ppg along with his defense, that would be really big.

I think Curtis Jones has the ability to create his own shot more than many realize.

Pav is lighting it up in practice so him and Milan are in a great battle for minutes early.

Agree with both of these. I commented on Watson in another thread, so I'll talk about Jones here. Even early on in the transfer process, it seemed like Jones was pretty low on most everyone's lists. I think part of that is because his highlights aren't the smoothest--he looks long and lanky and a bit awkward in everything he does.

However, of the three transfers, his stats compare pretty well. He was the only one of the three to lead his team in scoring. His 3 point percentage was the lowest (36%), but he did so on much higher volume (6.7 attempts per game vs. 3.5 and 2.4). Jones's assist numbers are also generally in the same range as Pav and Gilbert, which is impressive to me considering the other two played significantly more point guard than Jones did (at least according to Kenpom). He also had a Monte-esque turnover rate and his advanced stats were the best of the transfers.

I think Paveletzke and Gilbert probably have higher ceilings. But I think that Jones might be more ready to come in and immediately fill a role similar to what Grill had, being able to put up threes at a high volume on pretty good efficiency and play solid defense, though Jones should also be able to add some more secondary playmaking and ball handling to that role as well.

I see Watson like a Latester type guy. He will contribute and get better each year. I don’t ever see him really taking over until his senior year.

I see some have already said Curtis Jones, but he think we will start and I’m not sure if that is a popular opinion

Tyray Pearson, but actually tried on defense?

In all seriousness, I have been hearing the hype for Demarion since probably mid-December, and I hope it isn't too much hype for him. His offensive game was about as ugly as anyone that we've seen in the TJ era so far, and on par with some of the young guns Steve brought in in his final season with the 4 freshmen class of Foster, Jaden Walker, Darlinstone Dubar, and Dudley Blackwell. I like what we saw defensively and on the glass at least, which is more than I can say for any of the aformentioned. I did always like Jaden Walker though, and I think his game is comparable to Demarion's. Demarion is already bigger and more physical though.

If Curtis Jones can come in and prove me wrong and be a double digit scorer and 35%+ 3 point shooter at this level, I will be pleasantly surprised. He is my pick, because I for one am sleeping on him.
