Eubanks up 2 sets to 1 against Medvedev. Cheering like hell for this guy. Such a breath of fresh air for American tennis the way he plays, and his demeanor on court. Having fun and thus far realizing he's on a dream run and this in the end is a game he is playing and one that he loves to play.

Side note, amazing mental toughness for Jabeur to get through Rybakina. The way she lost the Wimbledon final to Rybakina last year and then how she blew the first set today I thought the mental scar tissue would be too much. It almost got to her, but amazingly she got it together to come through.

Eubanks plays a couple of sloppy points in the tiebreak and we are headed to a 5th Set. Still anyone's match.

Alcaraz and Rune playing a very entertaining match. These two are very even. No breaks halfway through the second set and the big moment in the tiebreaker was a double fault by Rune.

Welp anyone's match turned into Medvedev's match really quick. Eubanks just out of sorts in the 5th Set here. Needs to get refocused immediately. Has to be hard realizing you were a couple of points from taking this match in that tiebreak, but you have to refocus. Easier said than done.

Disappointing end for Eubanks. His career took a monumental step forward though. Shoots up the rankings and will likely be seeded at the U.S. Open. This will help him get in Masters 1000 events too. The last 10 days may have completely changed his career. The $430,000 check is nice too + whatever increase in sponsorship money he gets from this.

Alcaraz has looked solid. Still, him or Medvedev will have to play perfectly to even have a chance against Djokovic. Sinner will be climbing a mountain.
I still think Sinner has the best chance against Djokovic. Took him to the wire last year and has the best chance to rally with Djokovic off either the backhand or forehand.

Actually agreed on this one. Plus Sinner is too talented and at some point just the odds say he’s going to break through to a slam final. Why not this one?

I think its Medvedev but you could argue any of the 3. It's close. Medvedev has beaten him in a grand slam final before which is huge in a sport like tennis. I think his serve gives the most easy points if he's hitting. Sinner has the best groundstrokes though I agree

Not a bad pick. I don't think Medvedev would be intimidated playing Djokovic. I'm not sure I can say that about Sinner or Alcaraz.

Vondrousova straight sets over Svitolina. Not the person anyone would have picked to come out of that half of the draw. Lost a little pizazz for the final with Svitolina not being the one to make it through. Jabeur or Sabalenka will be a big favorite but that doesn’t guarantee a win.

But Vondrousova before the injury had good results. Just not that exciting of a player.

Hi Friends. I grew up in a tennis family. In 1991, when I was 19, my mom and I went to Wimbledon. It was, of course, an incredible experience. We saw Agassi's first match on old No. 1 Court after he boycotted the tournament for several years. Also saw Jennifer Capriati play on No. 1 and Edberg play on Centre Court, and got to see Stefi up close playing doubles on an outer court.

Security wasn't so tight back then. You could hang out by the players entrance and get right up close to them. I got some great close shots of Lendl and Courier entering.

Anyway, my mom just told me she found the photos buried in a closet and she's going to ship them to me. I'll get them scanned and will post them here, if anyone is interested.

Like clockwork, an opponent gets chances to break Djokovic and they blow it with some bizarre plays/unforced errors. Sinner had two different games with break points and can't convert on any of them. Welp time to wait for Semifinal #2 because this one's over. Novak 105 straight matches won at a slam when winning the first set.

Sinner can not win any of the big points. Fowler just said Djokovic has only won 5 more total points but is in a commanding lead. I expect Djokovic to win this final set in a tiebreak 7-3.

2nd semi is the main course of the day complete pick'em. I'll take Medvedev in 4
