I was unaware of the shell/uniform alt rule. Odd, but if that's the rule, that explains the gray alt.
I agree the alt-helmet with the blue/silver throwback uniform could look sweet.
But didn’t the bengals wear their white helmet last year with just their white roads?
At least the NFL is opening the door, a little, to the idea of allowing a 2nd helmet. Progress or just evolution? The rigid ban on a 2nd lid is cracking.
Will they eventually allow 2-3 regular helmets in the near future? I guess we will see. It will probably take a bit more time.
Could someone refresh my memory as to why the NFL has historically only allowed 1 helmet per team? I think I read it once but can't remember.
They said they thought wearing multiple helmets would make the player more susceptible to concussions.
And waiting till week 18 to use this look (for the 2nd time) seems a little odd. The last game?

May be in the minority but I absolutely love these. I feel like a lot of schools are going back to a more traditional look. Arkansas and TAMU are just a few that pop into mind that I’ve loved their changes back to simpler looks.
ISU needs to simplify the jerseys to a more traditional look and bring back the 80s tornado helmet and we’d have the best unis in the world
