It just makes me laugh. People are so polarized about everything these days. Are you Jonathan Rivian? Why are you defensive about this lol
The Cybertruck on the other hand..... I'm pretty sure we can all get behind what an abomination that is.

Yeah, not having an engine really leaves a lot of space to do what you really want with it. Obviously keeping aero in mind as well. They ain't great.
In general I don't think anyone has figured out what to do with that grill space on electric vehicles.
Old man??!? It is a great looking vehicle besides the headlights. I saw one on the interstate the other day and it looked sharp for the most part. That's like...your opinion man. Old people don't seem to get it...like my dad...but everyone else I know loves them. You do you.
BEV still need radiators and airflow for cooling purposes. Those batteries have an optimal range to run in and once you hit 100F the batteries start to lose the amount of current they can supply.Yeah, not having an engine really leaves a lot of space to do what you really want with it. BEV's do not cool in the same way as ICE. I know you know this...BEV still need radiators and airflow for cooling purposes. Those batteries have an optimal range to run in and once you hit 100F the batteries start to lose the amount of current they can supply.

Yeah...lol I'm mostly having fun because my dad is confused by the headlights.Old man??!? It is a great looking vehicle besides the headlights. I saw one on the interstate the other day and it looked sharp for the most part.
Radical designs provoke both strong reactions - positive and negative. LOTS of people love the Pontiac Aztek's looks. That's like...your opinion man. Old people don't seem to get it...like my dad...but everyone else I know loves them. You do you.

I guess I should qualify this a little since I'm way more focused on the off road side of things where a tesla sized battery is good for about 30 minutes of runtime. Cars may lose the grill but they still need a radiator if they have a liquid cooled battery.![]()
How It Works: Electric-vehicle battery cooling
Electric vehicles don't often come with the large front grilles their gas-powered cousins do—don't batteries need cooling, too?driving.ca
As with a gasoline engine’s system, the fluid gets hot as it cools the battery, and is cooled in a heat exchanger – basically a small radiator – and then recirculated in a closed loop. That loop may include cooling other electronic components. The waste heat may also be used to help warm the cabin in winter.

The Rivian headlights make me think this is the designer:

I am..that's why I am buying one.The front of of the Rivian looks like a surprised anime character. They are also stupid expensive. But you do you too.

True, Rivian's headlight looks creepy and repulsive. But overall the car is pretty good in terms of technologies applied. But I would buy my first EV only after they hit 1000-km-range mark. I don't know why but for me it is of paramount importance. Thus at the moment I am driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 2019, bought back in 2021 on abetter.bid.The front of of the Rivian looks like a surprised anime character. They are also stupid expensive. What’s the range for your current vehicle(s) fully fueled? The median range for a 2021 ICE is something like 650km/400 miles, though a few (usually hybrid) models can top 1k.True, Rivian's headlight looks creepy and repulsive.
