Sometimes I wonder what a stadium could have looked like if the field was centered with State Gym (think how Gallagher-Iba is in the east endzone at OSU) with a horseshoe around the west/south/east sides. Helser Hall wouldn't be able to exist. The tailgate scene would be muccccccch different however. Maybe Central Campus would resemble the Grove at Ole Miss.
Yeah the sidelines would have had to be straight and much more compact (like Kinnick or Boone Pickens)
I wish we had an old stadium near campustown. Would be cool.
But probably better where jack trice is now, the sea of parking lots although gross to look at kept the fan base alive via tailgating during the really bad years. And gives the athletic department more flexibility today.
If you look in the upper left of the aerial photo you can see the under construction Armory. Would have loved to attend a basketball game there.
So when you're looking at this live cam, is the lot that's on the immediate left A3 and the lot on the immediate right A4?

Under the new configuration of the lots, I'm thinking the live cam must be showing the southern A3 lot on the left and the A4 lot on the right.
