Apparently people don't understand the kind of resources it takes to get Riley Mulvey...And they’ve had 8/14 recruits since 2019 come from the state of Iowa and the quad cities.

That and the fact he only recruits dorky looking unathletic white guys who can't play defense. That lazy recruiting strategy is the biggest reason Fran hasn’t been to a Sweet 16 if you ask me.
I broke this down by who I believe will be their starting 5 next year, who I think could be in the consistent rotation, and then who will not see very minutes.

Those 2 sort of go hand in hand right? That and the fact he only recruits dorky looking unathletic white guys who can't play defense.
Oh I don’t think he’s good either but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re going to have to use him.Nimmers isn’t any good. If he was they would not have red shirted him, they would have seen how good he was in practice and gave him a scholarship, he would have been recruited by bigger names and more than just one terrible mid major. Hawk fans are fooling themselves on this kid. This kid should transfer and find a spot at a mid major he could possibly get a scholarship
I know I’ve been saying for awhile that the bottom will eventually fall out on Fran, but I think that time has finally arrived. The 2017 guys you mentioned seem more talented to me, plus Baer was an uber pain in the ass coming off the bench (that’s a complement btw). I don’t see that kind of spark on next season’s roster. Iowa will need multiple guys to surprise on the upside to have a chance at the tourney.Feels pretty comparable to the 2017 NIT team. Jok (Sr), Baer (So), Moss (Fr), Tyler Cook (Fr), Bohannon (Fr), Pemsl (Fr). That team finished 18-14 (10-8) and missed the tournament due to a 1st round Big 10 tourney loss.
I think you're underselling them a bit. They have some pieces and will win home games. Last year was a bit of a red flag though coming 1 loss away from missing the tournament with a 22 year old All-American plus Rebraca (25) and Connor (24).
That’s a pathetic, weak ass, no talent group…I broke this down by who I believe will be their starting 5 next year, who I think could be in the consistent rotation, and then who will not see very minutes.

Steve is home. Hard to hate him or blame him for chasing a dream. Reality is that not everyone is cut out to coach at a P6 level. A lot of good coaches even some great ones can't cut it.Ok i really wanted to hate that but I can't.
Fran never gets tired of getting his fans hopes up just crush them.
It’s like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown as he kicks the Field Goal. Funny every time.
Well he is white so you know he was a priority, plus he’s tall and kinda weird looking, so fits their ideal player. But no, he was never going there.Iowa never had a legitimate chance here
But David Eickholt said he was super interested and would make a visitIowa never had a legitimate chance here
Taking a pee break at a truck stop outside Iowa City between Fargo and Tuscaloosa = making a visit. But David Eickholt said he was super interested and would make a visit
you watch, one of the homegrown Hawkeye kids or legacy players will come out of nowhere and bail Fran out again.I know I’ve been saying for awhile that the bottom will eventually fall out on Fran, but I think that time has finally arrived. Or Bama paid him a bag of cash because their NIL is loaded.Well now they probably didn't want him anyway.
