It seems there is an abundance of people in my neighborhood this year that are letting the lawn go nuts. Seems like a good way to kill your mower and the rest of the lawn laying that much grass back on top when you finally do cut it.

I couldn't stand the look of mine, last weekend, so I mowed, and seemed to break the seal on my block. It seems there is an abundance of people in my neighborhood this year that are letting the lawn go nuts. I appreciate the reasons behind it, but after mowing Tuesday and having 12 inch dandelions pop up a couple days later it seems kind of silly. If your yard is dandelion free, plant a couple flowers for the pollenators.
Our city manager already threatening to fine people and sending the city to butcher their lawns. She must not be into pollinators.
Although one of the city parks is worse than any yards I have seen so maybe I should mow it and send them a bill?
Yeah, I have a toddler and a dog so I dont put chemicals on my lawn so its not going to win any awards for best looking lawn in the neighborhood. But I refuse to be the guy that doesn't mow for weeks. The neighbor a couple doors down finally mowed today and the dandelions were so thick the mower left like 10 percent of them standing.

If they are open fields it might be easier. The grass in front of my son’s elementary school hasn’t been touched this year but the fields they play on have. Im not sure if it’s on purpose.
I see yards overrun by dandelions that haven't been mowed yet this year. I'd be seriously pissed of if I was next to them.
