It sounds like Chittum's dad strongly dislikes the Ferraris (which isn't exactly unusual). Cody and the Ferraris had some overlap at Blair Academy in NJ. His commitment is directly related to Iowa bringing in the 3 Ferraris, which I personally find hilarious because it was a super predictable outcome. Not Cody specifically, but that reasonable people within the program weren't going to be happy about it. It has happened everywhere they've went. They are an impressive level of toxic.

No way. If the head coaching job in IC is open, either guy is taking that job in a nanosecond if offered.

Not that either would be. Not at this point, anyway.

He's either retired or "retired" in the next 1-2 years. Regardless, if there's one thing the guy actually does well is hire. Not a chance either guy turns down that job. None. Zero. Zip.

“Meh…nah…I think I will stay an assistant coach at ISU until I die.”

Sorry, but that’s just not happening. I’m sure they are very happy at ISU, however. And it would take a lot for them to leave.

Huh? They’ve had considerable recent success in the non revs. All Barta hires. Woody, Heller, etc. He’s a lot of things but that’s an area where he’s done well.

That right there is a flaw in the argument because that can't be the case for both

I see Feldkamp is still in the portal. He would be a great fill in at 184 while Tate redshirts. Go after Jamison and this lineup looks pretty damn good:

125- Perryman/Cabanban/Terukina
133- Grice
141- Jamison/Redding/Frost
149- Paniro/Swiderski (redshirt one, wrestle the other)
157- Chittum
165- Carr
174- Gaitan
184- Feldkamp
197- Maybe Yonger?
Hwt- Yonger/Schon

Sounds like it might be a longshot for Yonger to make 197 again, so the main hole in the lineup is currently 197. If we don't get Feldkamp, Broderson or Naak aren't the end of the world but probably aren't big point scorers at NCAAs.

What’s the connection with Jamison and how does he not lose eligibility going in after portal window? Inquiring minds want answers please.

I’m not gonna lie: sucks they’re at the same weight and I Love Paniro, strong as a damn ox. But the way he wrestled down the stretch and his love of close matches, if Casey won that wrestle off (with him not having a massive cut and a year under his belt with him coming on at the end of the year), I would not be disappointed. Maybe I’m wrong.

He might be able to file for a hardship waiver. So, 50/50 on him being eligible next year knowing the NCAA and their consistency
