Cyclone Mischief Horse

Sounds like the favorite just scratched with a foot issue. Didn't hear the name. The jockey is now on cyclone mischief from the favorite.

They've changed jockeys on Cyclone Mischief and I'm wondering if this is generally a good thing or a bad thing.

Probably bad if they are unfamiliar with each other. Horses and jockeys are partners so if it’s a sudden switch it’s like having a different partner for the biggest race.

On one of the Iowa Everywhere podcasts Ken Miller discussed it all with Jason and he stated that they had a list of jockeys to use if he made it in.

I see now that Cyclone Mischief's jockey will be Irad Ortiz, Jr. who is first amongst North American jockeys in number of wins and amount of winnings this year. He was originally supposed to ride Forte (favored to win) until Forte was scratched.

Interesting that two of the Albaugh horses have jockeys from France.

At least in ny, draft kings developed a new app called draft horse to bet the derby with a deposit match up to 200.

Sounds like they had to put 2 more horses down this morning. I think thats up to 7 - not good.
