This actually helps me make sense of why we took 3 guards and no bigs in the portal so far. I know we have great front court talent coming in with the high schoolers, but it felt like we could use a little more experience and depth there. Perhaps the staff was planning on this coming.

Not surprising at all, it's only been 9 months since his Achilles injury. It would have been 2024-25 before he even contributed at all. He'll probably only be 50% of the player he was at Temple this upcoming season and that won't cut it in the Big 12.

For some reason I thought it was expected that he was going to transfer for a while now, but maybe I’m not remembering it correctly.

I certainly wish him the best, but I was hopeful that we'd have a two-headed monster at the point (health allowing). Can't blame him if he wanted to be the guy there though, as Lipsey is clearly the guy here.
