Man Colds

I have one as well. Keep being brave, we are all in this together.

Just got off a call where a youngish guy was making small talk - other girl asked him how he was feeling today (clear implication that he's been sick) and he said he's getting better but off camera cause he's been fighting this cold past few days. She said she hoped he felt better soon and he said he "keeps marching on" and I definitely snorted because I saw this thread already. Dude you aren't in 'Nam.

tbf, sore throats and colds are my Nam. I am pretty whiny about colds. BUT, I'm also allergic to cold meds so I can't even do **** other than gargle salt water.

Gargling salt water is the best cure to most any upper respiratory thing though.

I just joined a support group - "Guys With Colds Anonymous". Some of the stories are heartbreaking. Guys with wives who leave them home alone, some guys have to get their own medicine out of the cabinet. More than once I've had to heat up my own can of chicken noodle soup. It's brutal out there.

Heartbreaking.

I'm pretty steady. Don't get sick often. Colds don't slow me down.

But a fever of 99 literally knocks me out.
