Watching Gonzaga trying to fill a roster right now is very interesting...
It would be funny if we picked him up and he scored 150 points on 3 pointers against Iowa. Otherwise, probably not worth it. I don't think he values defense.Interesting, I thought he played a decent amount this last year
Yep, but Tommy Lloyd was the assistant that recruited Andrew to the Zags and now the AZ coach. There were rumors that Ryan going to Zona was a done deal prior to him entering the portal. Was it his brother that also played at Gonzaga?
I would imagine that a good percentage of those were thrown in, as opposed to jumping, and that a good percentage of those jumping were looking for playing time rather than trying to move up a level or get paid. The never talked about portal results. Wonder how many players will be without a uniform to claim there scholarship with. History says about 600. I have no sympathy for them.
You're probably correct, but they get no scholarship or playing time.I would imagine that a good percentage of those were thrown in, as opposed to jumping, and that a good percentage of those jumping were looking for playing time rather than trying to move up a level or get paid.
Ward hasn't officially announced he's coming back. But the people in the know have said multiple times they expect him back.
I'd probably go with Gilbert or Watson but I know what you mean. He's got some high-end athletic traits it seems and can fit as what I see as an ideal modern center (not including point centers like Jokic or Embiid). He's long and athletic enough to be a threat at the rim on both ends and seems agile enough to not be a liability on switches. He seems to understand his role on offense and doesn't force the issue, but can clean up well enough around the rim.I would place Ward as #3 in NBA potential on next season’s team - behind Omaha and Milan. Ward can be an elite defensive disruptor. Whether he can develop that potential is the question.
Obligatory: What offense?I think it was more of positional fit within our offense.
