I got to experience it for the first and probably my only time last year. It's amazing.
So did you special request the storm warning round?
I assume your group ran that round.
Our team finished 12th, which I’m pretty sure is the best we’ve ever done. One of the guys on my table won the golf raffle package, so it was a good night!
The state nickname round really stumped us. Alabama is the yellow hammer state, and North Dakota is the peace garden state? Definitely missed those.

Our team, Cys doesn’t matter, got 50th. Not the worst or the best. We did get Matt Campbell at our table and it was great to pick his mind. Tampa had $ ISU couldn’t match to go other places but choose to stay here. Also, won the Big 12 Men’s Basketball package, so it was a pretty damn good night.

Is the trivia only about Iowa State or is it more broad? Never had a chance and most likely never will get to go.
It’s general trivia, but they might try to tie the category to ISU somehow. For example, they had a “Cyclone weather alert” round that was a bunch of meteorology questions. Name the type of cloud that can produce hail and lightning. Other categories were famous Iowans, a “music math” round, the state nickname round… stuff like that.
