Got our quarterback for the class!

Good to see this. Didn't realize we are down to only 3 QBs on roster for this year. Blake Clark graduated. I always got the impression he was a crucial assistant on the sideline. Don't know much about Moberly, but love his loyalty to the good guys.

I'm a little late, but congrats Conner. Welcome!

But I'm confused. Three articles, three different hometowns, Des Moines, Pleasant Hill, and Altoona. They need to make up their minds. LOL

I mean, I figure they are close, without looking it up. When they say Ankeny, or even Ames, is a a part of Des Moines, then I will get back with you.

Then you can tell the difference after all.
Moberly lives in Altoona. SEP, where he goes to school, is in Pleasant Hill. Both are suburbs of Des Moines.

If you are talking about someone who lives in Lakewood, CO to someone who isn’t familiar with the area, you probably say the person is from “Denver” to avoid confusion.

Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Des Moines…in this context…are all the same.

Oh.

Kid looking gooooood tonight. Has 258 yards and 5 TDs (one rushing) at the half against Ankeny.

Not the strongest arm, but boy…he is accurate.

That last TD had plenty of zip on it to the pylon. But his confidence and control of the offense stand out most to me. High school football has changed a lot since I was in school. Gone are the days of 3 yards and a cloud of dust.
