We've never attended a beach area holiday tournament - hoping to get one - has there been any announcement on Thanksgiving or Christmas tournament for next season?
WBB: Holiday Tournament 2023?

When I create threads on the WBB board, I almost always start them with "WBB:" for that reason. When you're just looking at a list of new posts, it can be very easy to miss.
Might not be one. We do one about 50% of the time. Here's the last ten years.
2022 - Phil Knight Inv, Portland - good games
2021 - Gulf Coast Showcase, Florida - meh, games
2020 - None. COVID cancelled or not scheduled at all.
2019 - None
2018 - Pre-season WNIT. Four home games at Hilton.
2017 - Junkanoo Jam, Bahamas
2016 - None
2015 - Cancun Challenge. - clobbered by Duke by 38 points.
2014 - None
2013 - None
After what happened at the Las Vegas Invitational last November I hope our administration takes a hard look at any of holiday invitations that are staged at hotel auditoriums and not real venues like the Phil Knight Invitational.

2014 - Moraga, Calif. (St. Mary's) at Thanksgiving, Cyclone Challenge over Xmas
Auburn gal got hurt and it took EMT's like 50 minutes to get here. The tournament peeps had not medical folks on hand at all. And no security. There are AAU tournaments that are probably better run than some of these hotel sponsored **** shows.

Indiana women’s basketball coach Teri Moren said she considered not playing Memphis on Saturday night in the Las Vegas Invitational because no paramedics were on site to tend to an injured Auburn player in the preceding game.

The better trip would be the summer trip they are taking this yr. Th competition wouldn't be as good but the trip would be cool.
