I've been around enough organizations in my life to know that, one or two defections -- probably nothing to be concerned about and likely attributable to the ones leaving. A whole bunch? Well, there is a 99.9% chance the issue is with the organization's leadership.

No. Donarski and Fritz are not NIL seekers. They are Clone to the Bone. This is 100% an internal isssue.

I'm sure some girls make a good amount but I think it's much less of an issue in sports outside of FB and MBB. Could be wrong, but there's just not the money surrounding WBB in the same way.

I'm not sure why you think she'd take this job. She's got an equally good job and probably is in line to take the Iowa job when Bluder is done.

The first couple were fairly run of the mill. Players who would be better off playing somewhere different at a lower level or who had done their time here.

Donarski and Fritz however are certainly more concerning departures.

This has the feel of Tinsley’s last year where they couldn’t wait for the year to end and bowed out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Although transfers weren’t prevalent back then.

Agree in general. Her parents live 45 minutes from Ames, though. Worth a call. If not, call Drake and that other small school coach with Iowa ties

Not saying she would but she should be the first call. An Iowa native, close to her parents and family. Iowa state has a good reputation for women’s basketball. Just because she was a hawk, don’t mean she won’t come to Iowa state.

Maybe I should call up Bill. I averaged 12 points a game in six girl basketball and I still have all my eligibility. I can always get another grad degree. I might need cataract surgery first though. But they look like they are a bit short handed.

I have a feeling this is now a Fennelly vs a new generation. He either needs to change his style or only recruit players that mesh with his style. No surprises either must be upfront with it.
