Who ever the is person in charge of working with the offense should be fired on the spot

"Oh yeah, say it to my(or his, in this case" face" is the lamest **** to possibly say on a forum. What the **** am I supposed to do? Break into Hilton to talk to him? Run on the floor and scream I'm the coach now like that Iowa fan did?
Send him an email.

Iowa State is 0-4 vs. quality OOC opponents this season and got run out of the gym all four times (UConn, @ Iowa, @ Mizzou and Pitt). UNC and Villanova turned out to be fool's gold. The conference schedule was up and down, but at least their was some UP. Me thinks the metrics that rank the Big Xii teams so highly needed to be adjusted, because I just don't see it - especially with ISU. Today was beyond awful. I tuned out at 10-1, because I knew where that train was headed.

it has been a good two years, don't get me wrong....but if we want to take the next step, there are some upgrades that need to happen skill wise, but also just philosophically there will have to be some adjustments, we can't win games 2-0, and i think TJ gets into that mindset without realizing it sometimes. There was no plan offensively today, nothing.

I get this was a really bad situation, and it takes time to get guys here, TJ did what he had to do, but that time is over now, it's time to play big boy basketball now....but there were A LOT of times we just have no plan offensively, and no answers. Doesn't matter how bad you are, you can't have multiple performances like this.

You have to get to the line better, you can't foul like we do, you can't play 3 guys that can't score. You need some sets to run, back cuts, adjusting to pressure, press break, attacking off turnovers. Stuff like that. We don't do any of that well.
Right? We need like, the best recruiting class in school history, or something. Get on it, TJ!

In this tournament, you kind of have to throw out a chunk of the statistics in the regular season. This is a reset and a fresh start for everybody so there is some unpredictability with how teams perform in the tournament when compared to the regular season.

Pitt had statistically a bad defense. With that said, their coach did a masterful job scouting our flaws. They did what all teams that blew us out this year did. Clog the lane completely and force us to hit contested jump shots, run us off the line. (Which we are not good at). When the lane is clogged anytime an ISU player drives… wall up and contest. Rebound rebound, rebound, and limit them to one shot. They executed that to perfection.

With that said Iowa State could not of executed any worse on the offensive end and are better than that. While Pitt had something to do with that, the moment was just too big, nerves were too high, and it was a perfect storm of bull$hit. Our limited roster became completely limited, great job by Pitts coaching staff.

Offensive strategy isn’t great, but they also missed tons of open shots and free throws. That’s on the players.

Isn't great? It's literally dribble and pass around the perimeter for 25 seconds and shoot a bad shot with 2 seconds left on the shot clock. OR, try to feed the ball to Jones. I'm chalking it up to lack of talent, but yikes.

Honestly, I'm not even giving credit to their coaching staff. The box score will make it look like they did something spectacular, but it was just a **** storm of Iowa St missing shots, and it avalanched into zero confidence from everyone.

He was 38% his Fr season, injured his sophomore season, 38% his Jr season and 22% his Sr season. When he was offered and committed, he was a career 38% shooter.

I'd be curious to know what changed. It's just one example though. Williams shot 23% last year at Temple.

If there was a loss all year that people should just let people vent about, this was it.

Don't sugar coat this one, say we'd have all taken it before the year, or attack posters who were unsatisfied with the play and coaching today.

When's football?

Pitt watched our last game against Kansas and executed the same game plan essentially. Stay on Gabe wherever he goes as he is our best scorer. Pack the paint and show no respect to any of our other perimeter players. They can pack the paint even further when Tamin is in the game and essentially play defense 5 vs 4.

We shot 2-21 from three and couldn't punish them and force them to adjust their defense despite having quite a few good looks. Not to mention every single one of our bigs was a zero today. We just don't have enough quality shooters or shot creators on the team right now. We knew already that we are not a good offensive team but this performance is an outlier in just how terrible it was.

Imagine tuning out of a tournament game in the first 5-10 minutes. Unreal.
