That's half of what he said, you didn't mention the 2nd half of his statement where he said they had too many losses in the non-conf and needed to beat someone better than DePaul.

Nevada played 2 P5 team non conference and lost both

Again it seems loading up with cupcakes before conference and buillding a bunch of worthless wins is more important.

Committee is kind of all over the place

Net ranking:

Iowa St 20
Xavier 22
Miss St 48
Pitt 67
Xavier gave 74.5 points per game this season, ranking 295th in the nation. Iowa State gave up 62.2, ranking 16th.

Offensively, Xavier averaged 82.1 ranking 10th. Iowa State averaged 68.5, ranking 259th.

As they say, defense travels. I really think we can impose our will and dictate the pace of the game.

NET doesn’t seem to much of a driving factor:

5 seeds
SDSt. 14
Duke 16
Miami 35
StMary’s 11

6 seeds
Creighton 17
Ky 26
ISU 20
TCU 28

Seems like we would've moved up a seed line by getting that random extra win from Omaha, even though it shouldn't matter.

My only complaint is that our play in matchup is on Tuesday, and TCUs is on Wednesday. It should be the other way around.

Really? I thought it was automatically setup that the Thursday teams play on Tuesday ND the Friday teams play Wednesday?

So basically using November and December to punish someone?

Maybe they should have taken then a closer look at a certain team that lost to Eastern Illinois......and got swept by both Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Well unless it was a Drake football scenario :) if they tried to make it up.

But yes I think 20 wins would have put ISU at the 5.

ISU it appears was the highest 6th
