2023 NCAA MBB coaching carousel

I heard a rumor that Fran could get the Notre Dame job and Devries would go to Iowa.
I'll be shocked if it isn't Porter Moser at Notre Dame. Devout Catholic that grew up in Chicago and has deep, deep connections in the Chicago Catholic League.

They just pushed 63 year old Mike Brey out, they aren't hiring 64 year old Francis.

It's much more likely that Darian is a candidate at Oklahoma than he is at Iowa.

If Minnesota was smart they would fire their coach and hire Devries.

I've said before, I think Darian is a Drake for the long haul but if there is a time to jump, it's now.

This entire run has been built on one class plus his kid. If you're going to get exposed, you should do it after quadrupling your salary for 4 years.

You are probably right about Fran. I think Devries stays at Drake awhile unless Iowa opens up, though.

I could see Devries going to Nebraska if they decide to move on some time from Fred.

I would love to get Moser but I don't see ND paying his large buyout, not for a basketball coach.

Probably a moot point as I think if they were going to can Ben Johnson they would have done so by now...but if they do I wonder if they would make another run at Ben Jacobson? Not a great season for UNI, but that will happen when two out of your best three players miss the whole season with illness and injuries.

What say you @1UNI2ISU?

Part of the reason TJ's pay is low compared to his peers is we had to pay Prohm a buyout for cratering the program and had to pay UNLV for TJ. He knew this and his pay will increase.
Then add in he was a .500 coach at UNLV so he was not a hot commodity.

I think that would be a really good hire for Minnesota and the most logical one for them but that doesn't tend to be what they do up there.

Plus, they offered him last time and then insulted him with what they were going to pay him so I don't know if he'd engage this time if there was anything other than an offer with legitimate money and no interview process.
