Does the B12 Tournament matter?

It can matter a ton to the players but not so much to fans. The players are the ones playing for something.

The 'you're a loser if you don't think it's a big deal' is acting like the fans and players are on the same level of input into the process, which is not true.

It isn't a big deal if you lose early(unless you need a win or two to get in the Dance), but it's a big deal if you win it.

I guess I dont get the mentality that it doesn't matter. Does it matter as much as the big dance? Of course not. Its still a tournament and I'd rather watch my team win than lose. Ask any of the players in this tournament if they would rather cut down the nets or lose the first game.

Well, as I said earlier, I, like King McClure who actually played in it, I don't like this tournament because there's nothing much to be gained for the upper half of the league. It's a money grab.

TCU hammers K-State. It wasn't close. But what's it mean? TCU already had a dance card, as did the Cats.

Will be interested to see how the conference teams are seeded. See you next week when the games actually mean something.
KSU could of left this tourney anywhere from a 2-4 seed with a possibility of playing your first two games in driving distance the higher the seed. I think its factual that this tournament matters.

I'm sure surly along with all of the other KSU fans would be absolutely giddy if they got to cut down the nets in KC tomorrow.
I've written from the start that this tournament matters to the fans and the coffers. Whether it does to the players and coaches is up for debate. King McClure said he had his doubts about the latter. Naturally, winning it is great for fan bravado.

KSU also dropped from 17 to 23 in the NET and that could have a major impact on their seed. I truly hope their players don’t take it seriously so we can continue to pick up cheap tickets from their fans.

Only ******* losers think these games don’t matter. Winning in your conference tournaments could jump you multiple seeds. Only ******* morons think it doesn’t matter. If OSU gets in, tell them that that the one win they got didn’t matter. Tell that to WVU who likely jumped a seed by winning. Tell that to the players of whomever ends up winning the tournament, that the tournament didn’t matter.

Again, that’s one guy. Niang, Shayok, Monte, many Iowa State players in the past have talked about how much they like this.

Will be interesting to see how the conference teams are seeded. This loss didn't help K-State, furthering my point about the afterthought.

Again, I sincerely hope KSU players have this mentality so I can buy cheaper tickets from their fans. It’s outstanding for me. I can’t wait to watch the rubber match with KU tonight from section 120.
