*** Official IOWA STATE vs #7 Baylor Game(Day) Thread ***

Does anyone else think its weird they still call people like Fran Fraschilla, "Coach"?

It is a strange thing to me that the Coach title seems to be a lifetime thing, once you coach.

For instance Fran Coached for 10 years, and has now been away from coaching more than 20 years and in TV. Yet people still calls him coach, and I hear him call himself coach too at times.

I get it when a guy has coached for 40 years and retires etc. But when a guy has been other things more than twice as long as they ever coached. Or maybe for a few years after they quit coaching, but not 20 years later.

Its not a big deal, just an oddity to me.

It could be that most of my coaches over the years didnt go by "Coach" Most of the times they had a longstanding nickname etc that was more prominent than Coach, so it may be it stands out more for me.

Johnny Orr called everyone coach. He said that way he didn’t have to remember their names. He called me coach when I was 16 years old. I was like why does Johnny keep calling me coach.

Baylor fans absolutely crying about officials.
Uh..... The officials have nothing to do with the game, play with more efforts, be the aggressor, make better plays, don't foul so much, don't get outcoached....... yadda, yadda, yadda.

I feel like the Eli King, Ward, and Hawley inclusions has re-energized the team. The offense hasn't really looked stagnant, even if all Eli King or Hawley are going to do is run around and cause chaos.

I met Orr maybe 3 time in 25 years.
He somehow remembered my name each time.

Then there is me, I can't remember the name of my own kid half the time

That replay they just showed with the Holmes steal, anyone else see the Baylor fan throw his hat down? I'm crying
