That Tim McGraw song was written by a guy named Bruce Robison. He's a great song writer that's had some of his other songs be big country (Travelin' Soldier is one of his) hits by other people, but IMO his versions are the standards.

Family member passed away unexpectedly and this was played at the funeral. I can't even listen to it. Can hardly write this post without tearing up. Damn.



During bouts of depression in Ames I used to just go drive around late at night, like 2-3 in the morning. Sound track was usually Kid A by Radiohead. This still takes me right back to the empty streets of Ames at 3AM.
