Fundamentally Inept Right Now

My only gripe with your middle paragraph is that today, it was Porter Moser who out adjusted and out coached TJ. Cw and Blum are both on record sharing the opinion he is probably not the long term answer for their program. I hate to think a guy who is not Big 12 coaching material had his way with TJ today.
I have seen him mentioned for Notre Dame. If he had stayed put, sure, but Oklahoma and the Big 12 have hurt his resume. He sure seemed to adjust appropriately in this game though.

Honest question, not trying to be a smartass, are there only CF Instant Reaction shows after wins now? And when did that change?

IDK but I don't blame them for not posting right after a loss. That has to be draining.

It's not that Porter isn't a Big 12 level coach, it's that he's a bad fit at Oklahoma. It's real hard to move into an area you've never recruited before. See Prohm, Steve.

The interviews after basketball are similar to football. Can anyone stand up and say the team is not very good?

And i said it before. If Bob is better than Tre, then Tre isn't very good.

I'm not sure Tre is very good. A good player a level down, I could absolutely see that, but he has by and large struggled to adapt to Big 12 size, strength, and athleticism.

Both of these takes can be true:

- TJ and this team have exceeded preseason expectations
- There is a recent trend of getting exposed by in-game 2nd half adjustments

Both of those are true to me. I guess I am not sure what adjustments we can make on offense. It would rock if Osun had ever learned how to avoid fouling every single game all game long but he didn't do that this season. We played the last 10 minutes of the first half with Rob Jones at the 5 because Osun picked up two dumb fouls, like he does every game.

But since he refused to learn to stay out of foul trouble, we play long stretches with Lipsey and Jones out there. Not sure there are adjustments we can make that overcome that much offensive deficiency. We are often playing 3 on 5 out there.

But to me the issue is actually that we are not forcing enough turnovers to facilitate some offense. We gave up 38 in the 2nd half. We are gonna lose a lot of games giving up nearly 40 points a half.

Shoon finished with 2 fouls.

Only plus player today was Rob at +2.

And today we were playing a team without their starting PG who took a leave just days ago. You can’t have one player change everything. Especially when you have had the whole season to adjust.
Backup PG. Get your facts straight, kemosabe. Maybe if the arseholes hadn't been clogging up the Bijan Cortes thread with a bunch of **** talk about Kansas schools and regular ******* season titles, you might have known his name. Not your fault. It was the arseholes in that thread, no doubt, who deprived you of the information. This bears the insidious fingerprints of Bob and company.

EDIT: I see one of the arseholes has found my post. I guess the truth hurts, eh?

I think this team overachieved most of the year. Our talent level is not there yet. TJ has not adjusted and tried to get some fast break point which is maddening. If we can pick up a shooter in the transfer portal and possibly a big man. We should be good to go next year.
