Is he eligible to be back? After Covid I can’t keep things straight with eligibility. Fran said he will be very much improved next season.

Also, I’m not sure if this has been mentioned already, so I’m sorry if this is a repeat. Not on boards much

He has another year and will be a key piece. Wish we'd go to him more in the post this year

He needs to learn how to defend without fouling. He will get more touches if he’s actually in the game. His per 40 minute fouls have never been less than 5 and have been more than 6, 3 out of 4 years.

I agree his fouling is a problem but when he has had good position we seem to not want to pass to him even though he has been effective in the post

Today:
King 2-4, Osunniyi 2-4, Jones 2-5, Kunc 4-10: 10/23, 43%
Kalscheur 4-14, Homes 2-16: 6/30, 20%

GC has been off for a number of games now. JH has had a couple of near 50% games recently, but an equal number of recent really bad shooting games. It seems there has to be a better strategy than just letting these two fire away when they aren't hitting. Set some things up for these other guys. 43% isn't rock awesome, but it is way better than 20%.

It seems like we make it a point to get Rob the ball in the post but don't pass to Osun or King as much when they're posting up. It's weird. And this isn't me bashing on Rob he's played better the last couple games but Osun and King are better on the block Imo. And yes on days when Holmes and Gabe are awful on offense we definitely need to try something else.

You can’t win games by going to your post players. Like it or not, basketball is a guards game now and none of the guards for ISU are making shots.

Gotta play an inside out game. Cycling the ball around the perimeter and chucking up a shot isn't a winning formula. Today, we got the ball into the interior in the first half. Second half, Gabe and Jalen starting putting up perimeter shots without going inside. What happened? We need a consistent scorer inside. Not all points have to come from him, but he needs to touch the ball most possessions to make those perimeter shots easier.

Yes you can. TCU last Wednesday.
JK/OO/TK/RJ: 12/20.
GC/JH/CG: 9/26

Granted JK is shooting from the outside quite a bit, but he's not a guard.

Jaz made 2 shots inside the arc against TCU and I’m guessing they weren’t post touches, I’d guess putbacks on second chance shots, but I’m not surI don’t know if I have ever seen Jaz truly post up, I’m guessing he probably has, but he is a guard in a forwards body.

I, too, like going to posted up players at the 3 point line.

Hung up on position label rather than role.

TJ has said numerous times (almost every postgame interview with Heft) that we NEED to play inside out. We don't have the guys to create without playing inside out.

Need more players with fully developed frontal lobes.

I agree they need to play inside out, but that doesn’t mean the post players need to shoot more. I guess that was my point. Pointing out shooting percentages of our post players made me feel like some want the post players to shoot more, but ISU needs their guards to create from the passes out of the post.

I feel like the last 2 games Bob has had some very good passes out of the post for 3's

Yeah he's played much better the last couple games. He's still limited but those passes are so much more effective than him posting up every time

Why is it so difficult for some to understand who has eligibility left. It's been posted repeatedly?

Jones, Ward, King, Grill DO.
Ossuniyi, Kunc, Kalscheur, Holmes DON'T
PLEASE WRITE IT DOWN.

HINT, 4 men leave, 4 men enter. (Recruiting class)
To answer the Holmes question that @CycloneRulzzz and others have asked, ESPN has some **** screwed up. He has a seperate profile listed as Jaren English due to a name change he made after year 1 of CBB
