Is everyone please with the aquisitions that the teams that they root for have made? Is there someone that you would still want to pick up? And do you expect your team to make it in the playoffs?

I would love to see Heilman, Rich Hill traded for Peavy still. I do not see that happening though.

I thin the CUBS will be in the playoffs again this year. Mid season the pick up of Peavy will be great

When I read the thread title, I thought we had gotten a commit from a linebacker from Oklahoma.

I'm more worried about Cards getting back to health than acquisitions.

And the Cubs can never acquire enough talent.

I like the moves made so far by the cards. Greene and the loogy's should help. I was disappointed that we didn't pick up a starter (dear Mo sign Ben Sheets), Randy Johnson would of fit well. The nonmoves have been more important then the moves. No holiday, no izzy, bullpen should be better with the young guys.

Less then 2 weeks until pitchers and catchers report. This winter seems like it has taken forever.....

Hmm, lets see. Pleased with the acquisitions my team made?
Being a Twins fan, I bet you can guess the answer.

I wish the Jays would have gone out and gotten Furcal, but after Burnett left there was no real reason to try and spend any more money being as the AL East will have 3 of top teams in the league and it is going to be close to impossible for them to compete.

Not sure what Jim Hendry's plan has been over the off-season. If he's not making a push to land Peavy, what has he done?

Re-signed Dempster. OK.

Let Kerry Wood go. Alright.

Traded Jason Marquis away. OK, not a huge loss.

Traded Pie for a ham sandwich that was later traded to get a mediocre pitcher from the Mariners.

Traded DeRosa, probably the most versatile player on the roster for a bunch of pitching prospects that won't amount to anything.

Let Henry Blanco go where he signed with SD for the same amount that he decided to sign on freaking Paul Bako for?! WTF.

Didn't land any big time free agents.....unless you count Aaron Miles.

I hope Carpenter has a good season and of course would love to see the cards get back in the Playoffs/World Series.

Um, Milton Bradley is a pretty big signing.

Wow... Signing Milton Bradley was massive, you just choose to forget that happened lol

Resigning Dempster was very important

Letting Kerry Wood go was probably the best thing for both sides because Cubs couldnt afford what he deserved and he still is an injury liability

Getting rid of Marquis is awesome cuz it opens up the 5th rotation spot, and dumped a lot of cash to get Bradley

We get either a 5th starter or middle bullpen guy for a piece of **** CF that was way too hyped up and never amounted to anything and probably never will

DeRosa hurts, but we needed to free up some money, again for Bradley who will have a really good season IMO

Blanco was good teacher for Soto, but he wasnt very good offensively, was really good defensively though. Bako wont be asked to do a lot, with soto there. Bako is a veteran though, and had his best production last year offensively, but that still wasnt very good.

Miles is a good utility guy, and the big time pick up was Milton Bradley. Dont forget that trading DeRosa opens 2nd base up to Mike Fontenot who i think can put up some very impressive numbers if given the chance to play everyday

I'm pretty worried about the lack of moves the White Sox made this year. I know they're going for a youth movement but the only thing they did that upgraded the team was getting rid of Javier Vazquez, kind of an addition by subtraction thing.

I would've loved to see Crede resigned, but I know with his injuries it was impossible. I'm not sold on Josh Fields and I think if anything he's the future at first, not third. 5th starter should be interesting, as should 2nd base, but right now I just don't think the Sox have enough consistent hitting to win the division again. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah Milton Bradley will light a fire, or possibly break his ankle arguing with an umpire. One of the two.

Well, we'll have 3 guys competing for third, so hopefully one will turn out. Still hoping we sign another SP so we can put Richard in the pen.

I'd ultimately like to see Lillibridge break out, start in the IF and leadoff, that way we don't have to have the worst defensive OF in the majors with Owens.

I'm more fascinated by all of those who haven't been signed yet. Why hasn't Bobby Abreu signed? He wasn't offered arbitration, so there would be no surrendering of draft picks.

I'm a Reds fan, and really wish the ownership would go out and sign Abreu to play left. If we did, I honestly think we'd have a shot at the central. Our pitching has the chance to be phenomenal.

I really wish that the Brewers would've signed at least one starting pitcher...

Hoffman fills a need that they have had since Cordero left.

I think they got burned when they picked up cameron's option, the yanks were leading them on.

But I think that they will be ok. Should be a good offense. Parra and Gallardo will be an alright 1-2 for starters. They will make a mid season trade for a starter and be fine. I think that they will end up second in the division.
