Agree. Only "power conference" examples in that span are SWC and "former Big East with football focus."This is what I keep saying. Its tough to make a conference just die. There's a reason why its only happened about twice in the last 30 years or so
You have a source for “all fans hate the idea” big ten fans are happy and from everything I’ve heard the Cali schools are very happy to be leaving behind the dumpster fire of the PAC.Everyone enjoys predicting what the conference will look like in the next few years, but nobody has a clue. It’s all up to the money people at the networks. And to a lesser degree the university presidents whose only interest is in how much money they can get. Why else would anyone agree to the insane addition of USC & UCLA to the BIG. All of their fans hate the idea.
The only positive from my point of view is the hoks sitting towards the bottom of that conference every year. Maybe even lower than Nebraska.
It's seems to me like putting cart before the horse. Why would you expand without having a firm media rights proposal in hand?Just internet chatter but it sounds like ASU voted no to expansion if it includes SMU. Rumors that they feel slighted by PAC leadership.

As a Big 10 person, when USC & UCLA were announced to the Big10, did you think that was the end of it?You have a source for “all fans hate the idea” big ten fans are happy and from everything I’ve heard the Cali schools are very happy to be leaving behind the dumpster fire of the PAC.
Lol, no.Everyone enjoys predicting what the conference will look like in the next few years, but nobody has a clue. It’s all up to the money people at the networks. Lol, no.
Tbh I don't eveb count the Big East. They just decided to stop sponsoring football and split from the schools who do.Agree. Only "power conference" examples in that span are SWC and "former Big East with football focus."
The only B1G fans I've seen against it are the "get off my lawn" traditionalists who can't understand why it's not 1985 anymore. To be honest, most local people I've talked to on this think the idea is crazy.
No more divisions. Hoks destined for obscurity. Iowa State has a better chance of making the playoffs than the hoks. Sorry to break that to you. Walmart stock will drop due to dwindling sales of yellow t-shirts with parakeet heads.Lol, no.
The only B1G fans I've seen against it are the "get off my lawn" traditionalists who can't understand why it's not 1985 anymore.
Was that their initial reaction? 6 months later I would expect most to convince themselves it’s a good thing regardless.
If you’re correct, and people have universally come around, it is easier for Fox to get Warren’s successor to finish the job. The Presidents can be insular but if most BIG fans are onboard, adding Seattle and SF trips as well isn’t too hard of sell

The UCLA Maryland rivalry is going to be epic. The only B1G fans I've seen against it are the "get off my lawn" traditionalists who can't understand why it's not 1985 anymore.
In MBB, totally agree. The UCLA Maryland rivalry is going to be epic.
It's a great move for the B1G, we'll see for the LA schools. They'll certainly get more money.
