Johnnys

It'll fix itself somewhat when they add a second space connected to Scheman.
They already do "Stagedoor" in Scheman. It starts two hours before tipoff and reopening for one hour after the game. That's been around for decades.

Yes, but the future plans that had been drawn up envisioned providing more of a connection between Hilton and Scheman so that there would be an additional in game premium space

It is the crowdedness, long lines, and crummy snacks that is the problem. I'd like to see it become much more exclusive and provide more premium service. Frankly, hearing about Dresser briefing fans before the meet is about the best thing I've heard about Johnny's all season.

I got offered Johnny’s passes as a perk for one game over holiday break early Prohm era. I’m a long way from a director’s level donor, so it doesn’t really matter to me. It wasn’t all that interesting to me when I can pick up a couple beers before the game @ Stage Door.

As others have said, crowded and it’s just crappy draft beer anyway.

Based off that chart Jamie showed us that compared our donations to the rest of the Big 12, we should probably be thankful Johnny’s is what it is. Should probably be kool-aid and Oreos.

I managed to get a hold of some nice tickets and Johnnys passes for the KSU game tomorrow night. I’ve never been in there. Is it worth getting there early? It’ll be me and my 10 year old.
To honestly answer your original question, I think your 10 year old will love it, and I would say go ahead and get there early and enjoy that with him. It’s like anything else - we get spoiled as humans. The first couple times you go, it feels like a perk, and you slowly start to complain more about the quality of the food and the people who are in your way, etc. It’s crowded, it’s hard to find a seat, and the food isn’t as good as you would get at a restaurant, but it’s free and they let you bring the popcorn, sodas, etc. into the game with you. You can hop in at halftime if you want for a refill. And I know a lot of people grab a cookie or whatever on the way out after the game. Again, completely convinced your kid will love it.

Love the switch to the tiniest cups possible for the soda. Stingy

And I don’t recall anyone mentioning the benefit of a coat check on a cold winters night or a place to hang after and let the parking lot clear out (I know it’s late on a school night) so you don’t have to be one of the far too many people standing on the concourse at the under 4 TO so they can get to their car approximately 73 seconds ahead of the fans who stay in their seat the entire game.

I know this is a Johnny’s topic but those “under 4 concourse standers” I mentioned above should have their season tickets revoked…

Forgot about the coat check and post-game hangout. How crowded is it after games? Do they serve snacks?

Is Stage Door open to anyone? I've heard of it many times before but have never been.

Personally I don't think Johnny would like the fact that his statue is not accessible to the entire fan base like it used to be. I remember after he passed away seeing all the memorials displayed by the statue. Now you can view him from the windows unless you have a "pass".....lol
