McDermott is a fine, fine gentleman. He just will NEVER get it done at Iowa State. Look at what the guy at Baylor has done there. And their mess was even bigger than ours. Sorry, I've given up. And, if we REALLY think we have a chance at HB...and if I were HB...I would be really nervous about the future of Cyclone basketball. It was worth a try with GMAC. It just isn't working..or going to.

Actually, I saw someone post an opinion about McDermott on another thread and they blasted him and told him to get out.
I've been a staunch believer that Wayne Morgan got hosed and have never wanted coach Mac.
I still think his slow down system is not doing his players much good. When has his system made a big upscale win that we were excited about in the last three years. Have we scored an upset win in the last 36 months? I just cannot remember. The UNI game this year may be our signature win for this year. He needs to win saturday so we can get more football recruits signed.
Then send your resume to JP and turn the program around. These same people posting on 14 other threads will be the first ones to say "GMAC was an amazing hire" when we start doing well again.

On a positive note, a girl at iowa state accidently sent all 1,080 students in Com Sci 103 her three homework assignments. So my homework is done for the week.
I love it when people say **** like "Why don't you try coaching" or "send in your resume" to defend an argument. These are the same people that think I can't question an official's call unless I'm ready to give it a try myself. I'm no heart surgeon, but if one cracked me open and put my heart where my kidneys go, I'd probably have an opinion on it.
So the moral of the story is that your heart doesnt go where your kidneys are?
Also I think you would make a great coach... you should put in your resume if the position opens up.

Great point about Scott Drew. Look at what he has done:

In Drew's first season he inherited a team with half the allotted scholarship players and a handful of walk-ons. Now McDermott's situation was not the same as what Drew faced. However, he actually inherited less scholarship players (I believe the number is 4).
